David & Siobhan got married at the Novotel Worsley in June 2016. The ceremony was at the beautiful St Peters Church in Swinton. If ever you want a church to make you go wow then this is it. The vicar was a lovely man and provided a well structured service.
After the ceremony the Wedding Party headed towards the Novotel Worsley for a Prosecco drinks reception. The venue on first impressions from the front of the building may look like a normal hotel but what you will find inside is a fantastic reception/bar area that is a good size for the guests to arrive and also for the Wedding Party to use once the room is getting it’s turnaround for the evening reception. To the back there is a patio are with a nice lush green lawn. The gardens are well cared for and offers potential for some outdoor pictures. Another option is a 3 min walk and you can have your pictures in Worsley Village with many opportunities for unique pictures by the picturesque canal.
On the day David & Siobhan booked a healthy amount of add ons that really complimented the room. I provided my All Day DJ Package that I provide Wedding Breakfast music, Mics and PA for the speeches and Evening Reception Disco. The add ons they choose was: Uplighting, Giant LED LOVE LETTERS, 10 x CANDLABRAS and DRY ICE 1st DANCE. Individually the cost of the all day DJ with all the add ons would usually cost £1710. But I offered 20% discount due to them booking multiple add ons. So they paid only £1368 which was a saving of £342 (The more you book the better the deal). We met up twice and spent 3-4 hours chatting about the day, planning and filling in booking forms etc.. The day before I spent 4 hours installing the uplighting and LED Letters. On the day I was there from 10am until 3am. So in total I had 24 hours invested in the wedding not including the 2 hours spent prepping the music and scripting the introductions.
The meal ran on time and the food was quick and of a high quality. Dave and Siobhan are Vegan and a lot of their guests were too. Novotel took care of this for them and the food was a hit that looked nice and the portions were a plenty.
Tina is the Event Manager and is willing to help you in anyway she can. I see a lot of room Managers but I can tell Tina has the experience as nothing is not possible with her and everything runs like clockwork which is ideal for any wedding dj.
Watch the video of how the day/night progressed
Check out the pictures below but you will see that the room is dressed with a white drape all the way round the room which gives it a semi Marquee look. These drapes really do change the room and make it look much better. Services I recommend for this room are:
- Wedding DJ – Book your own DJ. All day is best but costs a little more
- Uplighting (£14 each I found 20 units are needed to get the correct coverage)
- LED LOVE LETTERS (Mine are not like the rest. They are 5’8″ Tall and 15ft Long. Very heavy and a real statement piece for any room £250)
- Dry Ice 1st Dance (Dancing In The Clouds help the photographer capture unique 1st dance pictures and can help a nervous groom by covering the legs up the the hips if he doesn’t like to be on show. Many grooms love the dry ice for this reason)
- Head Table Starlight Backdrop £220 Head Table Starlight Skirt £90 Starlight Cake Skirt £30
The Venue is a hotel and obviously has rooms that can be booked by your guests. The location of this hotel is just off the M60, M62, M602 and near the M6 and M56. So if your guests need rooms they need to book early as they get booked up early.
After the Ceremony the Party you put on for your guests is going to be whats remembered and is key to the overall success of the day. In my opinion its worth investing in your entertainment and lighting to create the right atmosphere and lasting memories regardless of if you book me or not. Good Luck and if you have any questions then don’t hesitate to get in touch and ask any questions
